Menzgold customer issues 'threat' on Samira Bawumia's Facebook wall Samira Bawumia Second Lady, Samira Bawumia An aggrieved Menzgold customer has taken to Facebook to call on the government to help redeem their principal investments and interests from the gold-firm or face the consequences in 2020. The customer, Dery Bede, posted on the timeline of Samira Bawumia, the wife of Vice President Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia. In his post, he questioned government's silence on the Menzgold saga, especially when huge sums belonging to customers have not been paid. He added that the votes of the aggrieved customers who are over 1 million could have implications on government in the 2020 elections. “Why is your government still silence on Menzgold saga? Remember we are over 1 million customers and its implication on 2020. And God is watching you guy conniving with NAM1 to dupe citizens.” Other Facebook users who commented on the post supported government’s decision not to pay Menzgold customers their money. Menzgold Ghana Limited has been in the news for the past months. The company is dealing with regulatory bodies over their legality amidst suits from customers who have not received their principal money or extra value.
